I'm Going to Prove Everybody Wrong, Right?
I had this dialogue in my head that I was somehow like representing all the kids I grew up with, but in a way that was very unfair to them because they weren't asking me to do that. The bullies from my neighborhood when I was 13, 14 years old, they got their own kids now. They haven't thought about me in 10 years and I'm thinking about them still. We didn't want to connect you as much. And it's that thing that I think a lot of artists learn of like, I'm going to prove everybody wrong.
