Is the 60 Forty Portfolio Dead?
This is the first time in history that we've seen both equities and bonds declined by more than ten % over a six month period. In five out of five of those scenarios, fixed income was higher with an average total return of around 10 point nine%. So right now, i think, while many people are questioning whether the 60 forty portfolio is dead, over a five year rolling period, theexception of the great depression, we haven't seen a negative return of 60 forty portfolio.
