When Reagan was elected, they passed all these laws basically that allowed like companies to get involved in politicians lives and pay for their campaigns. And also talk about later here how like deeply entrenched like it's not only corporate influence and politics, but our the entire functioning of our government rests on the success of corporations. Yeah. So I'm going to pick up a little bit just to like clear up the rest of the history before we get to Obamacare. But basically the, so Reagan comes in and kind of fucks everything up, the direct consumer stuff undos like a ton of shit that my king, Jimmy Carter did before him.
