Is There Any Support for Custom Filters in Dbt?
Currently dbt is not support custom filters at all, though it is something on a roadmap. The Python environment is one of the most difficult aspects of this whole question. In practice, we find that all of the analysts that use dbt have non pristine Python environments. And so the idea of installing things into them or getting them to install something based on a third party packages can be a little bit difficult.
