The Clinical Practice Guideline on Lateral Elbow Tendenopathies

Lateral elbow tendonopathies are caused by an overload of the wrist extensors or the finger extensors. There is a bit of a sharing effect at the extensor carpi radialis brevis, which can also drive some of this dysfunction for our patients. People who work with tools that weigh greater than 20 kilograms or about 44 pounds may be more predisposed to these elbow tendon issues.
