John Avlon: The line that Biden uses was overly broad and it's very unfair to lump people into what nothing to do with January 6. He says the indictment of President Trump does create a rally around the flag effect among Republican voters, but it could energize everybody else. Avlon: 53% of independents said that the storming of the Capitol was a major factor in how they voted last year. It's much easier to overcome if you're not running MAGA adjacent candidates who either supported that or have to play this whole song and dance with it," he says.
