Is There a Difference Between World War One and World War Two?
There was a transition process happening from imperialism to the nation state. The old donastic empires were broken up and e new states introduced. But that invited germany to think about reconquering a new kind of empire in eastern europe. So it was at a mixed period. It ends the first world war, but they were not going to offer that to their subject peoples.
