Reappraisal and Re Purposing - Are They Equally Effective?
Reappraisal, reconstrol and re purposing were equally effective at reducing negative emotions and increasing positive emotions. Despite our initial thought, based on theory, that there might be some subtle differences, we found that the two types of reappraisal really had fairly similar effects. The main sort of finding this project is that using these re appraisal approaches, either one of them seems to decrease negative emotions and increase positive emotions.
