Health Care Work Force Shortages Are on the Rise

Many health care workers are voting with their feet, leaving, or planning to leave, the health professions. Many different types of health providers are deciding to call it quits and finding alternatives that are perhaps, you know, less stressful or more flexible. It's really hard to get a handle on the data, though, in terms of these work force shortages in the health care industry as a whole. But suffice it to say substantial health care work for shortages in primary care, nursing, nurses aids and home health aids is all being reported at high levels.
