The FTC's Role in AI
At the FTC, Lena Khan has been very muscular in terms of going after various companies with a mixed record. She's also said that under current law, she can go after these companies for discrimination and false advertising. The White House may issue an executive order around AI but it would likely only apply to the government's use of it. So how much power does an you actually have? It's really hard to do stuff with private companies.
