What's the Difference Between Anki and Memorize?

Anki and Memorize are great products, but at their very core they're exactly the same thing. The purpose is to get you to recall words and phrases through spaced repetition. So my question is what is there left to innovate in this instance? What else can you do to make that more innovative?
