Napoleon describes the first battle of dago in his memoirs. The french claimed they only lost 160 men and inflicted over one thousand casualties on the coalition. This is a bit of an obscure battle, and it's not well documented. We are not even sure which regiments participated. Napoleon believed the coalition had narrowly escaped a total de t that could have left all northern italy open to the french. But as we'll see in the future, the austrians were willing to fight very hard to maintain control over their wealthy northern italian possessions.
