The Winds of Change Are Shifting

The past 40 years have been a structurally disinflated environment in much of the developed world. And so if you just kind of sit down and care about macro, I just want to, you know, just buy and hold for decades, that can work well. The problem is when you have a major transition point where you go from 20% interest rates down to 0% interest rates over 40 year period. In addition, I think that the commodity cycle is very important. There's roughly a 15 year CapEx cycle. So you go through these structural periods of undersupply and then oversupply and undersupply  that has a huge impact on things like inflation.
