The Psychic Fight of the Century

Magic or Miracle airs February 8th, 1983 on NBC. It's a very schizophrenic tour of 1980s TV. Part travel log, part exposé of parapsychology and part back and forth between James Randy and Yuri Geller. By far the most depressing is a stop in the Philippines where patients with terminal diagnoses fly in from around the world to have psychic surgery performed on them. If you ever see it, what your eyes tell you is that the psychic surgeon is shoving their hands right into the stomach of a patient without any kind of scalpel. Think Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
