Get lens is probably the best extension for a vis code in my mind. Git lens gives you a visual file history, a really easily allows you to tab back and forth. Get blame just basically shows you who edited a file, when they edited it. It also shows you authorship of individual code blocks. There's an interactive rebase features, which i've never used but look nice.
