Dr. Jessica Pierce is an ethicist who concerns herself with pets, she's not a pet herself. She argues that feral dogs probably are living their best life or they're living something much closer to their best life than the lives we provide them inside our homes. Dr. Pierce concludes that most house kept dogs are going completely badty these days and acting out because we are restraining them from acting on one of their most basic impulses, which is to forage for food.
