What Is a Burrowing Owl?

Owl eyes are the size of an orange and weigh almost four pounds. They can't move their eyes, so they actually have to move their heads to keep something in sight. Burrowing owls nest underground in burrows that are dug by prairie dogs,. woodchucks, skunks, badgers, and armadillos. The male only begins decorating after his mate has started nesting and laying eggs.
