In 19 17, nuclear weapons had not been invented. Many thought it was impossible to release atomic energy this way. The third secret was a composite image of several things happening. And one of the images was of an angel with a flaming sword. Sister lucia said that it seemed to her that the fire from the sword was about to consume the earth.
