The Importance of Culture in Founders

Matt Welch: Over the 2020 to 2023 time period, there was a number of pressure points within these organizations where employees would come to leadership teams and say, hey, I think that we should be doing more on X activity. And so many times what I saw founders doing was they kind of just threw their hands up and they're like, I don't know what the answer is. He says founder led product companies have a better track record than professional, higher gun led product companies. Welch: It's key that the founder really enjoy the company that they've built, so they stay there.
