Game Studies - What Are They Doing and What Can They Be for People?

Buckles: I think almost everyone makes a version of this argument in game studies, which is that games do something to you. And the question is what exactly is the output of that, right? Is it purely aesthetic? Is it instructional? That's going to be someone like James Paul G. Right, who's saying that games teach you how to do things in the world. It's just really surreal to me to read this fundamental original list, you know, kind of text for game studies. But I think what she's saying here is a fundamental truth.
