The Motivation of US Policy in the Cuban Revolution
Mallory: The only foreseeable means of alienating internal support is through disenchantment and action based on economic dissatisfaction and hardship. And you know we don't see that trying to have, you know, invade Cuba is going to help. So the idea is you have essentially to track policy on the one hand you make conditions using your economic leverageyou make conditions really difficult. On the other hand, you're going to be attempting to use that dissatisfaction to generate an internal opposition.
