Taiwanese government was very prescient and sort of pushing for privatization of the project from day one concurrently when the Taiwan project was happening. RC actually had a contract with Brazil, Brazilian government doing the exact same thing basically. The Koreans at the time want to do some competitors as well. They try to fail with their version of Echi and then like the project failed and then whatever assets were left was transferred to Samsung and that sort of where Samsung really starts.
