The ethical problem of war has been a struggle in my life ever since i was young man during the time of the vianam war. The main topic, the overarching theme, iis whether or not our juna should fight. Seeing the faces of his kinsmen whom he knows by name, lined up for battle, he cannot bring himself to kill those people that he knows. So he decides to lay down his bow and become the ancient equivalent of a conscientious objector. This imagery reminds me of the description of god in the hebrew bible.
