Native Americans vs Native Americans
i'm not allufamiliar with the native alaskan situation. They are put in the same affirmative action and census category with native americans. I now know the hawaiians have a similar issue. O native hawaiians actually wanted to be in the american indian group because they didn't like being in the asian pacific islander group where they were originally. And i'm wondering if you know about this and could explain it. It's fine if you don't, but is that for the purposes of a lot of federal law, ah, including some higher education stuff, what counts as an indian or a native American in the lower forty eight does not count
