What Does It Mean to Have Listened to Someone?
To listen well is not just though to hear what they're saying, but to consider it. What does it mean to have listened to somebody? You have to have learned something from them. And we so rarely do that. We get distracted by what we're thinking. That's all we're occupying our mind with. They're saying, yes, you absolutely are capable of responding in the moment.
