We were on the brink of attaining stage one in the carde shev scale, the planetary stage. It's the nuclear a technology that allows you to attain k one. The golden age of science fiction was filled with speculation on the benefits of attaining k one. But we can see retrospectively that we were talking about what a one society would look like. And then in world war too, this incredible disaster f of political will, a war that should never have been fought,. whilst also being the only war that had to be fought at the time that we reached it.
