The shortest path to an AGI gets you a system which is misaligned or has some random values. By default, we get the Cladagory one AI. So that you could give it to the most evil sociopath in the world and it's fine. I can see AI fitting into all of those categories, including the most dangerous ones. And this is not a rule of nature. There is no law of physics with states. It is impossible to have a safe AI that does good things for you. This is completely allowed by the laws of physics and computer science. We just don't know how to do it.
