The Plastic Expansive Concept of Information

If we think of culture as information, it's interrelated with one another in various kinds of relationships. Getting a handle on that is pretty tricky and you can either do it at this very general way or more concrete circumstances. I was just reading some recent work by the orhus archaeologist Shuman Hussein, who is applying something like this kind of idea of traits and their interrelationships in his work on lithic assemblages. So there's a lot to say in this area.
