The shang is a really interesting period for being one of these liminal periods. We have the first texts, but they're not everything you would maybe want them to be. And then he's, there's archaeology. Is a deep tural narrative about what the shang is. Then there's this archaeological sigt that seemingly validates all this. But then does it? Because there's all kinds of stuff that don't appear in the later texts. So depending on whether you decide you want to believe text written a thousand years later as is utterly accurate, you can definitely find things that seem to be accurate.
