I think that most people actually live their lives by like, if there's like an op-ed piece on why abortion is wrong, most liberals probably don't even take the time to read it. So I think that it's just a rare set of people who will go out of their way to process conflicting information. And you know, this is why- so you agree with height to the extent that a philosophy paper is not - Can I do the little start the avalanche going at the top with the pebble or something like that? Or does it not do anything? It can only start the ball rolling for people who like reading philosophy papers and taking them seriously.

Dave and Tamler try their best to do a show without guests--we talk about moral persuasion, motivated reasoning, and whether it's legitimate to use emotionally charged rhetoric in a philosophical argument. Plus, we describe how students proceed through the "Stages-of-Singer," and Tamler finally defends himself against Dave's slanderous accusation of hypocrisy about animal welfare.
