The Importance of Reading in School
There were still good moments when I could feel something even though it wasn't in the setting of a Soviet rather dull and sometimes there was something very gloomy about those classrooms. Everything was mandatory, everything was required and assigned. For example, one's first encounter with Tolstoy was in this kind of environment and that of course ruined everything for many years. So although some of the moments, memorable moments, I remember them against the background of very dark windows.
