Bob Wilson is basically taking advantage of the human brain's gift for pattern recognition, because it can kind of for one thing, when you get people locked into this pattern. This is the baseline of a lot of the tactics that are used by conspiracists today. And as that became the dominant cultural narrative, Operation Mindfuck became a tool of the old right.
