Is the Water Really a Communication Channel?

The water is not actually being used as a communication channel. Just trying to create vertices of a certain sort and send them down it, then decoded on the other end. It's rather chaotic processes on their own. They're just doing their own thing. So it's got noise and it's actually got a directionality to it. But there's nothing about it where there's really a transmitter and a receiver or any sense of an optimized code book that's going on.
