Is Informed Consent a Good Thing?
People who are terminally ill are rarely informed. I mean, they're going to die. So we're not really educating the public that aging and aging diseases come with a hundred % chance of mortality. The hope that something might work is the best thing - it should be part of like, almost an organ donor programme. You know, if i'm terminally ill, i should be able to try anything and help to push things forward. What holds it up really isn't an ethical issuei it's a money issue.
