Cormac McCarthy wrote a book about how much he can't imagine not being father to his kid. He's got this line where he says, you know, if that boy, the word of God, then God never spoke. And it is wildly heretical because we're not supposed to deify our families,. That was something that we've all been trying not to do as parents. But I feel that way when I look at my kid with his giant head.
