An angelic figure with a sword at the ready occurs a number of times in the Bible. This image actually sets us on a journey that's going to take us the rest of the Bible to unpack and to unfold. The Lord himself is now coming to take his people back into Eden. We have to come in from the east to get into this abode of God's dwelling.
