What Happened to 911?

Nashville's 911 systems had redundancies built in, allowing them to operate using other wireless and broadband service providers besides AT&T. But that wasn't the case for all 911 dispatchers throughout the region with some smaller centers relying solely on AT&T,. Some of the smaller places all they had was AT&T, so their 911 services were completely and totally down. Went all the way from Kentucky down into Alabama, I think Mississippi, Georgia, pieces of North and South Carolina - several states.
