The Drag of the Mercedes W14 and W13
Bryson: Why was the old Mercedes car so draggy? He says there's two different types of drag, induced and form. Induced drag comes from generation of downforce; profile drag is just baseline drag. The new zero pod design would be shielding the rear tire to a degree by minimizing that part of the drag - but it could also reduce speed.
