David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David. Bathsheba went to King Solomon on behalf of Adonaija; he bowed down to her. The son of Hagith came to Bathsheba: Do you come peaceably? He said, peaceably. And now I have one request to make of you, do not refuse me. Abishag, the Shunamite, as my wife. So Solomon sat upon the throne of David his father, and his kingdom was firmly established. In the time that David reigned over Israel was forty years, he reigned seven years in Hebron, and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
