Aphrodite, Goddess of Love and Charm
Sulla received another message from the divine realm, that is from one of the local oracles. The goddess Aphrodite, whom the Romans called Venus, promised him wide power if he would dedicate a golden axe to one of her temples. Later on, he did send that golden axe in thanksgiving. It was a vision of a huge battle in which he was fighting his enemies, and he saw Venus there wielding that very golden battle axe she requested. All challenges lay ahead, but as usual, Sulla was optimistic.
