Evolution Towards a More Compassionate World

In the last 30 years, we can see progress in restorative justice and growing a more real democracy. There's this progress that happens, and then backlash. This happens through history, and there's huge suffering in it. And if we want to keep moving forward, we have to recognize the realness of it. The qualities that move us forward are mindful presence, compassion, a real cherishing of life. They're in us, and they can be cultivated.
