Is the Church Supposed to Be Salty and Light?

Is the church supposed to be salty and light? In the area of politics where they're talking about morality. I would suggest that a nation like this should say that the nation were int right now, united states of america, that been so influenced by the gospel. It is not the aw political and cultural power that causes the church to thrive. But if the church presses the crown rights of christ in his kingdom and the message of the gospel in the world,  that ly brings light to darkness.
