CHAPTER

Is There a Way to Make Your Happiness Last?

This just strikes me as a fully general argument against the value of learning that like starting X or stopping Y will make you happier. You don't learn anything from abstinence. Is it our improvements to our subjective well-being lasting and if not, is there a way to make them last? And I think a number of world religions have also tried to tackle it as well in philosophies. But no, but it is a super kind of interesting one, right? The logic does undergird things like debates about violent video games or other things where you kind of say this is an indirect measure of aggression.
