E is a word that's not used very much these days, but it's also a sort of romantic approach to medicine. I mean, i think compassion neurology, when i started, we had rather few treatments. And em you know, healing people is much more than just writing out prescriptions for tablets or offering them surgery. It's almost a magical em quality which transcends evidence base medicine. But part of the reason for writing my book is to try to remind younger colleagues, than those who worship science and technology,. We're all extremely grateful for the advances in technology, but the rest shouldn't be forgotten.
