Is There a Publication Review Committee in Prisons?
In your piece prison book bands protect mass incarceration from September, you talk generally about censorship in prison. Do you mind talking through that a little bit for listeners who might not be familiar? Yeah. There's something called a publication review committee inside prisons. And so the way that this works is anytime mail or a book comes into prison to a prisoner is if a guard deems something unacceptable or objectionable, they can refer that for a ban and say, nope, you can't have it.
