Is There a Crop of Almonds?
i'm watching this harvest right now. First thing i notice is that there is no cross fertilization any more in some varieties. One man in three different machines, there actually two, can do the whole forty acres in about two days. All the crops we were told you can never mechanize, like raisins, you can. You can dry them on the vine. Ou can have a machine come by and shake the dried bunches to be mechanically harvestd. So what i'm getting at is labor becomes very expensive and scarce,. People are doing the most ingenious things in agriculture. E're getting to the point where they're even having some crazy ideas about trellising trees so
