Chat GPT and the University Honor Code

This week, the Honor Council at Texas State sent out a letter to every faculty member about chat GPT. The subject line says artificial intelligence, Paren chat GPT, and the university honor code policy. When used in lieu of individual thought, creation, and synthesis of knowledge by falsely submitting a paper written all are in part as one's own original work, an academic integrity violation results.
