The Pharmacology of Rituxim Antibodies
Rituxim is a monoclonal antibody directed against CD20. The way that works there's three purported mechanisms. First is just direct cell kill. When it binds it sets off of a cascade of intracellular processes that cause apoptosis. And then there's antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity ADCC which is a mouthful and actually makes sense when you when you spell it out.
