Post-Scarcity or Utopie?
A civilization can be post-scarcity in a given want or need but not in another. A river might dry up removing previous water abundance for a place, a fertile valley may no longer produce as much food as it used to and the population could simply have risen. We can be invented by employing options like virtual reality or even altering folks' minds to not desire to be collectors or to be famous. But we should be mindful of those in which we are.
