I'm not a Soto Zen practitioner, but I could say that's the spirit of Soto Zen. It doesn't matter how enlightened somebody is, their experience is not your experience. You can see everything as it is because you're not looking through a lens. So what would it be radical to live without need? What if we live without needs? What would that mean?"
